Thanks to my friend Tif I have a new little toy for my iPhone – taken while Cross country skiing after the blizzard…

 

Minneapolis

Made it down to the Minneapolis (thanks to Ken N. for the lift!) this weekend and got to catch up with some friends – unfortunately took very few pictures with the exception of the one above.  Pictured: Ogi (Srdj’s brother), Francois, Me, Arturo (teacher who took us on our grad school study abroad – Port Cities) and Srdj.

We survived the blizzard (all 12 inches of it),

after some help from the amazing neighbors who used a snow blower I shoveled the rest of the driveway because Grandpa is anxious to get out.  He has a social routine he likes to stick to and no blizzard is gonna stop him.  Last week I took him to the local jail to visit one of his buddies in an orange suit.  The head jailor lady let him in despite it not being ‘visiting hours’ – he has a way with the ladies.  It must be his twinkling blue eyes.

Sunday, February 3, 2013Been a busy weekend of ‘dice’ on Friday, Bingo at the Legion (yes, seriously) on Saturday night and tonight is Superbowl Sunday.  Grandpa is a social kind of guy so he is hosting a party tonight. Which means I need to burn some pre-party calories a la cross-country skiing with a few of the neighbors.
